Amity Health is excited to share the news that we will be working with Edith Cowan University and local communities to deliver local Food Action Groups in the Wheatbelt and Central Great Southern thanks to funding from Healthway.

The Wheatbelt and Central Great Southern Food Action Groups will connect community organisations, residents, local and State Government to:

  • make existing emergency relief more nutritious

  • get healthier and sustainable food into public institutions

  • progress a regional food hub

  • deliver nutrition and cooking programs, with a focus on young people, bush tucker and cooking for Elders.

Our sincere thanks to the many passionate individuals and organisations that have contributed to the development of this pilot project to date. We're looking forward to progressing this important project because access to healthy, nutritious food should not depend on where you live.
