mental health

Having good mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through to adulthood. There are many factors that can contribute to poor mental health. If you have concerns about your child’s well-being, at Amity Health we have several service options.

Through our Mental Health Occupational Therapist based in Albany, Amity Health offers mental health care services to children, adolescents and their families throughout the Great Southern region.

We can provide counselling to address emotional or behavioural challenges, anxiety, depression, stressful life events and any situation that may impact your mental well-being.

A Better Access Mental Health care plan is required to access this service. Please see your GP to discuss this.

Additionally, we have a fully funded program for those living in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern called Integrated Primary Mental Health Care. This will require a referral from your GP. There are certain criteria that you must meet to be eligible for this program.
