OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES

So what is Occupational Therapy? It is a health service that helps people to participate in all the things we do in our everyday lives that allows us to live meaningful lives. Our OT's can assess and manage the needs of your child if they are experiencing developmental delays or difficulties.

We can assess your child if they are having difficulties with any of the following:

  • fine and gross motor coordination

  • sensory processing and regulation

  • attention and concentration

  • visual processing

  • play and social skills

  • handwriting and other education/classroom activities (drawing, cutting, puzzles)

  • self-care skills such as dressing, meal times, brushing teeth

Our OT's can also provide assessment and therapy should your child have a disability. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine the best pathway for you and your child. Amity Health is a registered NDIS provider.

Self-referrals are accepted and fees will apply, however if your child is living with a chronic condition, we suggest you discuss this with your GP as you may be entitled to claim the Medicare rebate under a chronic disease management plan. Under this plan, if your child is eligible, you can receive up to 5 visits within a calendar year.
